Foster a Pet

Open your heart and home to an animal in need. Fostering saves lives and gives pets a chance to thrive outside the shelter.

About Our Foster Program

Our foster program provides temporary homes for animals who need extra care, socialization, or simply a break from shelter life. Foster families are essential to our mission — they help us save more lives by freeing up kennel space and giving animals the one-on-one attention they need.

PHS provides all necessary supplies including food, medications, and veterinary care. You provide the love, time, and a safe environment. Foster periods typically range from two weeks to two months, depending on the animal's needs.

Saves Lives

Every foster home frees up space at the shelter, allowing us to take in more animals in need.

Aids Recovery

Animals recovering from illness or surgery heal faster in a quiet home environment.

Builds Confidence

Shy or scared animals blossom with one-on-one attention, making them more adoptable.
